Uhuru welcomes me!

At 6.45 AM on August 27th, I conquered the top of Africa. Nime furahi! (I am happy)

Uhuru means Freedom in Swahili, it is dedicated to Freedom of Tanzania, reached in 1961 and reflected in how happily, proudly and respectfully Tanzanians live in their land. Uhuru is also my Freedom from the past and the future and my dedication to live happily in this wonderful world.

At the exit gate the next day. Between Boris and me from the left are Freddrick, our guide, and Joseph, the assistant guide, who led us up higher, and prepared us for the summit day. We share the success with them, as well as Reggie (to my right), our amazing chef and the rest of the ClimbKili crew who, each of the seven days, moved our camp in record time and knew what we needed before we did. Amazing, amazing teamwork and friendship that will last forever!
