Ten years ago I dreamed of climbing Kilimanjaro and setting my foot on Africa. One busy decade and two kids later I am about to chase my dream! It did not materialize with the intention. Instead, as everything else around me slowly fell into place and my 'me' moments led me to be intuitive once again, the thought of Kilimanjaro floated to me and I smiled as it touched me and became my reality.

My Africa
While I realize that there is so much more to Africa, to me Tanzania is Africa and I have never felt this alive and this close to nature. After five days in Tarangire, Serengeti and Ngorongoro, soaking in the massive landscape and witnessing the wonderful balance in it, I am excited and at piece at the same time. I am writing a journal and will post it later on, but for now, here are few of my memories that I will carry with me over the next week on Kilimanjaro.

Pictures look amazing and both of you too, happy and relaxed. It all is somehow deserted and peaceful. On another note, you should definitely not be a IT manager, I see a writer career ahead of you. Keep on writing, it is a great read.
ReplyDeletePS just got your letter, I was getting worried
I am writing and it feels great :) Will be posting soon. All good and safe here, at the Z hotel in Zanzibar now.
DeleteSladjana, keep doing IT management. Outsiders imagine IT professionals as dry geeks thinking only about bits and bytes, but we know there is more in our souls.
